St. Paul Travelers announced Tuesday that it had expanded its reach for business from architects and engineers to include construction and design consultants.
Previously only licensed or registered architects and engineers, landscape architects, and land surveyors were eligible for the Minnesota company's property/casualty coverage.
Now interior designers, urban planners, and audio-visual consultants are among the entities that will have access to St. Paul Travelers' products, including professional liability, general liability, property, workers' compensation, monoline auto, umbrella, employment practices liability, and directors and officers liability coverages.
St. Paul Travelers said it supplies coverage to more than 20,000 U.S. design firms. It also sells liability insurance to insurance agents and brokers and legal, real estate, and accounting professionals.
