The individual insurance division of Sun Life Financial U.S. has announced the creation by Ibbotson Associates of five model portfolios for Sun Life Financial's Futurity series of variable universal life insurance policies.
Each model contains a selection of investment subaccounts to help clients balance their long-term return expectations with their tolerance for risk, the insurer said on Monday.
Ibbotson Associates also developed five asset allocation models for the Sun Life Financial Masters Variable Annuity portfolio.
Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada has also added 12 funds to its Futurity variable universal life insurance policies. Futurity Accumulator II, Protector II, and Survivorship II offer 43 investment options with 42 variable subaccounts and the fixed account. The investment portfolio is managed by 20 money managers.
