Pershing LLC, a subsidiary of Bank of New York Co. Inc., will provide clearing, trading, and a financial services outsourcing platform for Sun Life Financial Group's Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc.
Independent Financial, of Purchase, N.Y., provides banks and credit unions with investment and life insurance products and services.
The relationship with Pershing will provide clients of Independent Financial with a comprehensive platform to support their clearance and execution needs, the companies said Monday.
Sun Life Financial had $358.8 billion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
