First Republic Bank, a San Francisco private bank, has hired Richard Lombardozzi, an executive from TD Banknorth Inc., to be a managing director in the foreign exchange group.
The hiring was announced Wednesday.
Mr. Lombardozzi will work in First Republic’s downtown Boston office. He will oversee services for clients, including investment management companies; legal, accounting, and consulting companies; educational institutions, such as private schools, colleges, and universities; and nonprofit organizations.
He was a senior vice president and manager of foreign exchange sales for TD Banknorth. Before joining the Portland, Maine, company, he had been a vice president of foreign exchange corporate sales for Citizens Bank of Massachusetts in Boston. First Republic had $31.8 billion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
