TIAA-CREF has enhanced its no-fee IRAs to give participants access to a wider range of investment options, including lifecycle funds and a self-directed brokerage window, TIAA-CREF Brokerage Services.
Among the new investment choices are nine TIAA-CREF no-load mutual funds and seven no-load TIAA-CREF lifecycle fund portfolios, the company said Monday.
Beginning in December, investors will also have the ability to buy and sell nonproprietary investments, including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and certificates of deposit, through the self-directed brokerage window.
This brokerage window is intended to let participants view online their complete brokerage account and buy, sell, or exchange stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds. When investing in mutual funds, participants will be able to use online tools for researching, sorting, and screening among more than 6,500 portfolios.
