VILLANOVA, Pa. — The Haley Group and the Investment Traders Association of Philadelphia have proudly donated $50,000 in support of the Villanova School of Business. The Haley Group and Investment Traders Association of Philadelphia Endowed Scholarship Fund is a joint initiative established to encourage and support undergraduate students studying the field of finance.
Christopher Haley, Class of '90, says, "We are honored to present this gift to the Villanova School of Business to support education for talented students pursuing degrees in finance."
The annual scholarship award will provide financial support to VSB junior and senior finance majors. Candidates are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and to clearly demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students from the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey areas. Each year the scholarship is awarded, previous recipients will receive favorable candidacy — provided that they maintain the minimum grade point average, continue to study finance in the business school, and exhibit a continued need for financial assistance.
"We are pleased to recognize exceptional students at VSB for their academic excellence," adds Haley. "This is a great opportunity for The Haley Group and the Investment Traders Association of Philadelphia to build upon an already outstanding relationship with VSB and to further advance the field of finance."
