Wachovia Corp.'s corporate and institutional trust division has announced the hiring of a former J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. executive to be a relationship manager in its structured finance trust services group.
Wachovia said Tuesday that it has hired Mike Hellmuth to lead trustee administration for structured finance transactions throughout the United Kingdom from a base in London.
The structured finance trust services group deals with structured financings such as asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, tax liens, and leveraged lease transactions.
Wachovia recently announced an agreement with BNP Paribas Securities Services' global corporate trust division for a comprehensive range of corporate trust services to be offered to their existing and potential clients in the European and U.S. securitization markets.
Mr. Hellmuth was a vice president in the trustee and asset administration group at J.P. Morgan Chase. Before that, he was in the corporate trust departments at both Bank of New York and Citibank.
