Willis Group Holdings Ltd. in New York said Monday that Arlene Corsetti has been hired as an executive vice president to lead its western region, the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

Ms. Corsetti, who is to be based in San Francisco, will also be Willis' health-care practice leader in North America, the company said.
She joins Willis from Marsh & McLennan, where she worked for 21 years, most recently as a managing director and regional manager overseeing a Midwest operation - 17 offices in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, Ohio, Kentucky, and parts of Pennsylvania - that generated $550 million of revenue last year.
