JPMorgan Chase Hires Institutional Sales Chief

JPMorgan Chase & Co. recently recruited Michael O'Brien, a former BlackRock executive, to head its worldwide institutional sales.

As part of the company's international expansion effort, O'Brien is to start in his new post in September, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The job, previously held by Mary Callahan Erdoes, was open because she was promoted to head JPMorgan's asset management division a year ago. O'Brien was the head of institutional sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East at BlackRock and at Barclays Global Investors.

Calls to JPMorgan Chase were not returned by press time.
