Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. announced Thursday that it has hired Vanessa Wittman as chief financial officer.
Ms. Wittman, who will also be an executive vice president of the insurance broker, is to join it on Sept. 10 and become chief financial officer by Oct. 15. She is to succeed Matthew Bartley, who left the company June 2.
The appointment is the latest of several senior executive changes at the New York company since Brian Duperreault succeeded Michael Cherkasky as chief executive in January.
Ms. Wittman was chief financial officer and executive vice president at Adelphia Communications Corp., where she had worked since 2003.
