Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. has announced the promotion of Rodney J. Dillman to president of MassMutual International LLC, its international insurance arm, and also to corporate senior vice president.
Mr. Dillman was general counsel at Babson Capital Management LLC, a MassMutual subsidiary, and was a corporate vice president and associate general counsel of the parent company, it said on Thursday. He had worked at Babson since 2000.
He is to be succeeded as general counsel at Babson by Trish Walsh, who will remain a corporate vice president in MassMutual's law division.
In his new post, Mr. Dillman reports to Elaine A. Sarsynski, MassMutual International's chairman and chief executive officer.
MassMutual International has expanded during the past decade by acquiring several insurance firms; it now has more than 1.9 million customers for insurance and other financial products in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Luxembourg, and Chile.
MassMutual, which is based in Springfield, Mass., had more than $500 billion of assets under management at Dec. 31.
