MFC Hires Managing Director

MFC Global Investment Management LLC of Boston, the asset management arm of Manulife Financial Corp. of Toronto, hired Reid A. Kilberg as a managing director.

Mr. Kilberg joined the company's sales team Sept. 2. He reports to Frank Saeli, MFC Global's head of U.S. institutional sales and relationship management.

Mr. Kilberg, 38, is in charge of institutional sales and business development. Before joining MFC he was with Sit Investment Associates, where he marketed fixed-income strategies to institutional customers. Previously he was a senior vice president of client services and marketing for Peregrine Capital Management, and a director of sales and marketing for Compass Capital Management.

MFC Global, which announced the hiring Tuesday, had $250 billion of assets under management as of June 30.
