Scotiabank Group in Toronto has introduced a suite of insurance products and services.
The products, which were started Monday, include a home and auto insurance program, as well as life and health products.
ScotiaLife Financial, the company's Canadian insurance brand, added home and auto insurance to its line of life and health, creditor and travel products.
The home and auto insurance offering covers vehicles, including motor homes and snowmobiles, as well as residential and vacation homes, condominiums and the personal property of renters.
ScotiaLife Financial also offers two life and health products, exclusively for Scotiabank customers. Its Critical Illness Insurance complements customers' existing disability insurance and extended health-care plans, paying a one-time, lump-sum benefit of up to $100,000 after a diagnosis of heart attack, cancer or stroke.
