Scout Investment Advisors Inc., a unit of UMB Financial Corp. of Kansas City, Mo., has hired Benjamin Wiesenfeld to be its chief compliance officer and chief legal counsel.
Wiesenfeld will oversee all legal matters relating to Scout Investment Advisors, including administering compliance policies and procedures as well as reporting on legal and compliance matters.
He was the chief compliance officer and staff attorney for Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, N.M.
Scout Investment Advisors, which announced the hiring last week, is an investment management firm that offers investment management services for both managed accounts and mutual funds.
