UST Corp. on Wednesday named James K. Hunt, a Peoples Bancorp executive vice president, as treasurer, chief financial officer and executive vice president.
UST is a $2 billion bank holding company headquartered in Boston. It is the parent company of USTrust and United States Trust Co. in Boston, and UST Bank/Connecticut in Bridgeport.
Mr. Hunt, 50, began his career in 1967 at Depositors Corp., a bank holding company in Augusta, Maine, where he was senior vice president of accounting.
From 1984 to 1987 he was with Consumers Savings Bank, before it was purchased by the Bank of New England.
Mr. Hunt had served as executive vice president at Peoples since 1987.
