Wayne Hummer Asset Management Co. of Lake Forest, Ill., hired Melissa R. Brown as a managing director, chief investment strategist, and head of its newly formed institutional clients division and Steven M. Bohn as a managing director and head of its financial services division.
Ms. Brown, formerly a senior partner and co-head of client portfolio management for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, is to join Wayne Hummer at the end of the month.
Focusing primarily on the consultant marketplace, she will help the Wintrust Financial Corp. unit expand into institutional asset management, it said Monday.
Mr. Bohn was a managing director for Lyster Watson & Co. Before that he was a senior vice president for Lazard Asset Management and a director and senior vice president for Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services.
Wayne Hummer has $6 billion of assets under management.
