The online bill payment company Manilla says it has delivered more than 2 million statements since its February launch.
Manilla's main service is a website for consumers to use to aggregate paperless statements and other documents. It also allows card issuers and other billers to place dynamic advertising in their digital statements.
Citigroup has worked with Manilla since last summer. It uses its ads on Manilla to direct consumers to its blogs, websites and customer service contacts.
Manilla's growth signals "a change in the way consumers perceive online account management," said George Kliavkoff, Manilla's CEO, in a press release May 23. "More and more consumers have realized that paper statements are an analog solution in a digital world."
