ATX Innovation, the company behind the TabbedOut mobile payment application, partnered with Harbortouch to add more than 10,000 locations to the company's expanding hospitality merchant base.
The TabbedOut application allows consumers to open a tab through their mobile device and pay that tab without waiting for servers to bring the check. TabbedOut communicates with merchant's point of sale terminals so consumer activity can be managed by wait staff as well. It also lets merchants send targeted offers and loyalty rewards.
Harbortouch will support TabbedOut on all existing Hospitality POS systems and will install it on newly deployed terminals.
"Integrating with a POS leader like Harbortouch allows thousands of merchants to leverage their existing Harbortouch POS system to offer mobile payment and enables us to expand our solution to a wider network of restaurants, bars and hotels nationwide," says Alex Broeker, CEO of ATX, in a May 1 press release. "Our goal is to make mobile payment an everyday simple and secure process for the consumer that generates additional revenue for Tabbedout merchants."
