Unionpay U.S. Card Acceptance Reaches 200,000 Atms

IMGCAP(1)]Agreements with United States-based ATM and debit network Pulse and Citigroup Inc. have enabled 200,000 ATMs in the United States to accept China UnionPay debit and credit cards, a UnionPay spokesperson tells CardLine Global. Since 2005, China UnionPay has worked to expand its payment network in the U.S., the spokesperson says. He adds cardholders can make purchases with their debit cards from some merchants without additional charges. Cardholders also receive cash-back offers from some merchants, the spokesperson says.
