Virtual Piggy Inc., which provides an online payment system for minors, will support payments on the website of the apparel vendor Triko.
Virtual Piggy's system allows parents to monitor and control kids' spending online. Parents can set certain automatic conditions for approving online spending, or they can receive notifications with prompts to approve each transaction as it occurs.
Triko donates 3% of its sales to charities that help children.
“Because child charities are such a major focus for our brand, Virtual Piggy was a natural fit,” said Hector Estrada, Triko's president, in a press release Oct. 9. “Empowering younger customers to safely make purchases on our website means more opportunities to bring in donations.”
