Merchants' early shift to contactless payments isn't going away. And many consumers are willing to overlook some of the friction they encountered in the first months of the pandemic to continue using payment methods that are new to them, such as mobile wallets or grocery delivery.
But with the first wave of consumers getting vaccinated and expecting to return to their old way of life, more change is inevitable.
