TCF Financial executives are considering pulling back from selling auto loans, following a sharp decline in gains during the fourth quarter.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Thursday sued TCF National Bank for what the bureau said were deceptive and abusive practices in selling overdraft services.

Big banks are still levying overdraft charges. New technology startups can stem the tide and help digitally-savvy millennials manage payments and their budgets.
