As fintechs rapidly siphon $2.15 trillion in deposits away from traditional financial institutions, community banks and credit unions face a critical inflection point. Sixty-five percent of those losses have come from Gen X and Boomers—historically loyal customer bases—while nearly half of Zillennials aren't investing at all, citing a lack of education and perceived financial barriers. Meanwhile, over 50% of Millennials and Gen Z say they would switch to a bank that offers integrated investing, rewards, and other smart money tools.

This panel explores how the strategic addition of digital investing can help institutions reverse deposit flight, drive new non-interest income, and better serve today's financially diverse customer base. The session features expert insights from Ethan Silver (Lowenstein Sandler) and Ron Shevlin (Cornerstone Advisors). Together, they'll explore how embedded investing can elevate your value proposition—while remaining compliant and competitive.

Attendees will learn:

  • Why embedded investing is key to retaining deposits and increasing customer acquisition in today's competitive landscape.
  • How digital investing can open up new streams of non-interest income and deepen long-term customer engagement.
  • What legal, compliance, and operational factors financial institutions must consider when adding investment capabilities.
