Executive Vice President and Chief Customer & Marketing Officer
David Clifton is executive vice president and Chief Customer & Marketing Officer for Huntington. With over 25 years of marketing experience, Clifton is responsible for all of Huntingtons brand, marketing, advertising and customer touch points and communications. Prior to joining Huntington in December of 2009, Clifton was Chief Marketing Officer for the Consumer Lending divisions of JP Morgan Chase. During his 12+ year tenure at JP Morgan Chase, he held various senior leadership marketing positions directing new acquisitions marketing programs, brand identity, advertising, branch and ATM signage programs, internet marketing and rebrand communications. Prior to his banking career, from 1985 to 1997 Clifton was General Manager and Chief Operating Officer for Young & Laramore Advertising where he led the agency in directing marketing campaigns for accounts including Mayflower, Steak n Shake, Delco Electronics and NutraSweet and directed the agency to be recognized by AdWeek as one of the hottest in the Midwest. Clifton earned a MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in Engineering from Purdue University.
