Retail Segment Executive
As PNC’s Retail Segment Executive, Steenson is responsible for developing and executing the business banking and consumer mass-affluent and mass-market segment strategies. In addition, Steenson directs PNC’s customer group activities. These customer groups include Diverse Segments, Virtually-Domiciled Customers (VDCs), Students, Workplace Banking, Low-to-Moderate income (LMI), Women’s Business Development and Employee Banking.
Prior to his current role, Steenson led Consumer Marketing and, separately, Consumer Checking Products. In his marketing role, Steenson planned and coordinated marketing activities for loan, deposit and debit card products.
While leading Consumer Checking Products, Steenson was a key part of the team that created, launched and marketed a series of Virtual Wallet® solutions.
Steenson came to PNC Bank in 1998 from Federated Investors where he led a mutual-fund accounting team. Prior to his roles leading Retail Segments, Consumer Marketing and Consumer Checking Products, Steenson held positions in finance, accounting and information systems support. Steenson previously served as Board Member (2005 to 2011) and Treasurer (2007 to 2011) of the Dollar Energy Fund.
Steenson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Robert Morris University and both Master of Business Administration in Finance and Master of Science in Information Systems Management degrees from Duquesne University.
