OKLAHOMA CITY -- Bancfirst Corp. agreed to acquire First City Bank of Tulsa, Okla.
The company said the purchase price was not disclosed pending the results of due diligence.
First City Bank is currently owned by First Bancshares of Muskogee Inc. and has total assets of $40 million.
The acquisition would be structured as a cash purchase. It is subject to the approval of shareholders and regulatory agencies, the company said.
The Philadelphia-based bank's parent company, Republic First Bancshares, had been roiled by a yearslong proxy battle involving activist investors groups and its former CEO.
