Imaging vendor gets French contract.

HERNDON, Va. - Network Imaging Corp. said its Dorotech unit received a contract with an initial value of $4 million from Banque Nationale de Paris to automate the bank's document retrieval.

In a press release, Network Imaging said Dorotech would supply its Dorokey computer output to laser disk system, allowing on-line, real-time access to the bank's manual microfiche system. The system will be integrated into the bank's existing system based on Unisys servers.

Installation will be completed in the first quarter of 1994, said a spokesman for Network Imaging.

The company is in negotiations eventually to convert all the bank's microfilm/microfiche records to on-line optical storage. said the spokesman.
