Citizens Bank and Trust Co., Paducah, Ky., has paired up with a regional brokerage firm to offer investment services to customers.
J.C. Bradford & Co., a Nashville-based brokerage, will open a sales office in Citizens Bank's main office next week, the companies annonced.
The bank is the flagship unit of $600 million-asset CBT Corp., which is awaiting regulatory approval for a merger with BMC Bankcorp, Benton, Ky.
William J. Jones, president and chief executive of Citizens Bank, said the move is part of a plan to expand the bank's financial offerings.
"It is important that we align ourselves with a strategic partner who can elevate our overall investment services and who understands the value of developing and maintaining long-range relationships," Mr. Jones said.
The sales program will probably be extended in other communities where CBT Corp. has a presence, the companies said.
