In Brief: Morgan Futures Unit Joins Hong Kong Exchange

HONG KONG - J.P. - Morgan Futures Hong Kong Ltd., a unit of J.P. Morgan & Co. said it has become a member of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange.

The company said it began clearing futures and options trades on the exchange Oct. 16.

"The transition has been smooth and has met with superb response and support from our clients," said Tim Cook, head of exchange traded products for the Asia Pacific region at J.P. Morgan.

J.P. Morgan Securities Hong Kong Ltd., has been a member for the local stock exchange since December, 1994.
