Card Briefs: Card Capture Signs Distributor for ATMs

Card Capture Services Inc. has added a distributor to market its automated teller machines in the Middle Atlantic states.

The ATM deployer signed S. Soski Piroeff Inc., a supplier to restaurants, convenience stores, hotels, and hospitals.

Card Capture will add 550 ATMs within two years to its national network of 3,400.

Surcharges will range from $1 to $2, depending on the merchant, said James Fulton, vice president and general manager of Piroeff. "We are always seeking ways to provide our customers with another profit center," Mr. Fulton said.

He said the Triton machines will cost about $9,500 each. Piroeff merchants-in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York-can buy the machines or lease them for five years for about $200 a month with the option of buying at the end of the term.
