Short Takes: Putnam Adds Two International Managers

Putnam Investments named two more portfolio managers to its international group.

Joshua Byrne was promoted to work on the Putnam International Voyager Fund from an analyst position where he focused on the chemical sector. He is joined by Nigel Hart, who came to Boston-based Putnam from IAI International, Minneapolis, where he specialized in Latin American and European markets for six years.

The international and value fund unit has expanded over the past 15 months to more than 20 portfolio managers. Some $20 billion of the $220 billion of assets managed by Putnam are in international and global equity investments.
