Summit Bank Names Executive

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

Summit Bank, Princeton, N.J., the lead subsidiary of Summit Bancorp, promoted Maurice J. Spagnoletti to Pennsylvania market president.

Summit Bank has 70 Pennsylvania branches, in 13 counties, and $1.9 billion of deposits in the state.

Mr. Spagnoletti was the senior regional manager for 30 branches in New Jersey's Union, Essex and Morris counties.

He came to Summit in 1986, when it bought Commercial Trust, Jersey City.

He joined Commercial Trust in 1982 as manager of its main branch, and later became vice president for Hudson County.

In 1987 Summit made him a senior vice president and named him administrator for branches in five New Jersey counties: Hudson, Bergen, Union, Middlesex, and Monmouth.
