Security-7 Software Inc., a specialist in security safeguards for Java, Active-X, and other "active content" applications, announced an implementation agreement with Computer Associates International Inc.
Computer Associates is to incorporate Security-7 software modules into its Inoculan security products.
The agreement with such a major software vendor "positions Security-7 as the leading solution provider to this market," said Richard Kosinski, the Boston-based company's vice president of sales and marketing.
Security-7's technology is designed to bolster the electronic firewalls of large enterprises, protecting them from unwanted data invasions by way of Java applets or other Internet-delivered software.
Security-7 president and co-founder Asher Jospe said he has major bank customers waking up to active-content threats. "They are convinced of the need for content inspection as a necessary security layer," he said.
