CarrAmerica Realty Corp. Names Executive

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

CarrAmerica Realty Corp., Washington, has hired Richard F. Katchuk, former chief financial officer of Crestar Financial Corp., to fill the same role at the real estate investment trust.

He is to succeed Brian K. Fields, who left the company to pursue other interests, on Feb. 1.

Mr. Katchuk also was a corporate executive vice president at Richmond, Va.-based Crestar. The company was bought by Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc. on Dec. 31. Before joining Crestar in 1995, Mr. Katchuk had been a senior vice president in corporate finance at the former Banc One Corp., Columbus, Ohio, from 1988 to 1995.
