USABancshares.com Inc. has an agreement with eMachines Inc. to ship 600,000 computers with a button on the keyboard that links directly to the bank's Web site.
eMachines will be paid for customers the button brings in. If the number is large enough, the program would be extended to additional computer shipments.
Kenneth Tepper, president and chief executive officer of USABancshares.com, said it would continue to expand its distribution through a "variety of branded platforms designed for point of sale convenience."
eMachines, founded in September 1998, became the third-largest retail personal computer provider in June, with 11% of the market.
The company says it trails only Hewlett-Packard and Compaq. -- Adriana Senior
