New Financial Group Chief at Accenture

Richard A. Lumb has been named the chief executive of Accenture's financial services operating group.

Lumb has since 2006 been the senior managing director of the Dublin consulting company's financial services unit in Europe, Africa and Latin America.

Lumb, who as of Dec. 1 will be responsible for a division that generated 20% of Accenture's global revenue in its most recent fiscal year, has been with Accenture since 1984 and became a partner in 1995.

He succeeds Pierre Nanterme, who will become Accenture's CEO in January. William Greene, the company's current CEO, is stepping down but staying on as chairman.
