Monitise Americas, a joint venture of Fidelity National Information Services Inc. and the London mobile banking software vendor Monitise PLC, already offers a Mobile Money app for Apple Inc.'s iPhone.
"Android is going to be big, and we will look to capitalize on" its "capabilities, such as social networking," Neil Sentance, a vice president of wireless business development at Monitise, said in a press release.
