State Bank and Trust of Macon, Ga., has hired Ray Fisher, Michael Fitzgerald and Linda Ruddick as executive vice president.
Fisher will be the director of the special assets division. He had been the president and chief financial officer of Darby Bank & Trust Co. in Savannah, Georgia since 2009. Before that he was the group president of Atlanta at Regions Bank from 1996, when Regions bought Metro Bank, of which he was president and co-founder, until 2006, when he retired from Regions.
Fisher will be based in Atlanta and succeeds Stephen Wood, who had run the division since it was formed in 2009.
Fitzgerald will be the senior deposit officer, which is a newly-created position. He had been the head of the consulting firm Fitzgerald MSI since 2003. Before that he had been the president, chief operating officer and a board member of NetBank since 2000. Earlier he had been the senior vice president of marketing and implementation for Salem Five Cents Bank since 1993. He will be based in Atlanta.
Ruddick will be the director of credit administration. She had been the manager of commercial policy and procedure for RBC Bank since 2006, when it bought her previous employer, Flag Bank, where she had been the senior vice president of credit administration since 2004. Earlier she had been the vice president and senior commercial loan officer for Colonial Bank since 1996. Ruddick will be based in Macon.
State Bank and Trust has $2.8 billion of assets.
