Old Dominion Hires Five for New Tysons Corner, Va., Office

Old Dominion National Bank has opened a new office in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington and has hired five bankers to work there.

The $69 million-asset Old Dominion plans to open its Tysons Corner, Va., office in the next couple of weeks, a company spokesman said. Old Dominion's chief executive, Mark Merrill, will be based in the office; Merrill had already worked from Old Dominion's loan production office in nearby McLean, Va. Old Dominion's headquarters will remain in North Garden, Va.

In addition to the new executive offices, Old Dominion also plans to open a branch office in Tysons Corner, pending regulatory approval.

Old Dominion will staff the Tysons Corner office with five bankers hired from various institutions in the Washington area. Kevin Albrigo, who will become Old Dominion's chief lending officer, was previously a managing director with SunTrust Private Wealth Management for the Mid-Atlantic region. John Hunter, who was named chief credit officer, had been senior credit manager at Cardinal Bank in McLean. Pamela McCarthy was named president for the Washington region; she previously had been senior vice president for global banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Jack Infield, previously a regional president for AmeriServ Financial Bank, was named executive vice president for strategy. The bank also hired Anne Qu from Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a commercial banker.
