Ann Flynn

Managing Director Business and Relationship Management

Ann G. Flynn is the managing director and head of the Business and Relationship Management team for U.S. Public Finance and the Global Infrastructure & Project Finance groups. In this capacity, Ann is responsible for all business activities for the two groups, including new business origination; investor, dealer and banker relations; and business strategy. Prior to Ann’s current appointment, she served as a senior director and the regional manager for the Northeast and Midwest groups responsible for local tax-supported credits in those regions. Additionally, Ann has expertise in the higher education sector. She has varied speaking experience in all of the aforementioned areas in addition to municipal derivatives. Prior to joining Fitch in 2008, Ann was a managing director at RBC Capital Markets in New York City, covering state and local bond issuers in the Northeast as well as solid waste and other revenue supported issuers. Previously, she served as the director of public finance for the State of New Jersey, and she handled all of the state and state authorities’ debt issues. Prior to that, she served as the acting executive director of the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority. Other experience includes work as an investment banker with two New Jersey regional investment banking firms and as a senior analyst at Moody’s Investors Service. Ann received her B.A. in government–economics from Skidmore College and her J.D. from Vermont Law School. She is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the New York and New Jersey State GFOAs, and the Municipal Analysts Group of New York.
