A senior tax manager in the Princeton office of WithumSmith+Brown, PC, Brian has extensive experience serving real estate clients in the public and private sectors including REITs, joint ventures, and other real estate companies. Brian also has experience advising clients with regard to the structure and tax consequences of real estate transactions.In addition to his work on the firms real estate clients, Brian is a trusted advisor to many closely held businesses. He works with clients to improve tax efficiency and introduce tax planning into their business operations. He is a regular presenter and author of numerous articles on federal tax issues.Before joining WithumSmith+Brown, Brian worked in the Philadelphia and New York offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, working closely with large, multi-national real estate investment companies. Prior to that, he worked as a certified public accountant and business advisor, counselling small business clients in Princeton, NJ.Brian received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from The College of New Jersey and his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law at Camden. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Brian is a member of the New Jersey Bar. His professional memberships include: the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants; the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; the American Bar Association; and the Mercer County Bar Association.Outside of the office, Brian is a member of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County and a member of the agencys Fund Development Committee.
