Deborah D. Lambert, CPA is the Managing Partner of Johnson Lambert & Co. LLP. Lambert has held numerous leadership roles in the accounting profession and has been actively involved in professional activities for her entire career. She is the Immediate Past-Chair of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and currently serves as a member of AICPA Council. She previously served a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the AICPA. Lambert was Chair of the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA and has served on numerous AICPA Committees. She Chaired the COSO Small Business Control Guidance Advisory Group Task Force and also served a as a member of the SEC Advisory Committee on Smaller Public Companies.In 1986, Lambert, along with Larry Johnson, founded Johnson Lambert in Washington, DC. Lambert has served as the firm’s Managing Partner since 2006. Johnson Lambert has grown from 2 partners and one employee in 1986 to almost 150 personnel, including 13 partners. The firm has offices in 8 states: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia. Johnson Lambert has prospered by concentrating on providing audit and tax services to distinct industry niches. The insurance industry is the Johnson Lambert’s dominant industry niche; in addition, the firm serves entities in two additional niches: employee benefit plans and associations and other non-profit organizations. All partners and employees of Johnson Lambert will join in the firm’s celebration of its 25th Anniversary during 2011 with a team building trip to Key West, Florida. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Lambert began her career with Ernst & Whinney in Cleveland and then Washington, DC. Debbie is a four-term member of the Board of Trustees of Wake Forest University where she currently chairs the Finance Committee.
