A Merchant Payment Trends story in the June issue stated incorrectly how much HSBC invested in Tempo Payments Inc. in 2006. While HSBC was a participant in a round of venture funding in Tempo, together with Cardinal Venture Capital and Selby Ventures, it has not commented publicly about its portion of the $8.7 million the three combined invested in the PIN-debit network.
