Noted by the USMA, this award is given to graduates of the USMA whose character, distinguished service, and stature draw wholesome comparison to the qualities for which West Point strives, in keeping with its motto: “Duty, Honor, Country.”GEN (Ret) Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy, as well as holding a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University; a Master of Science in Systems Technology (Electronic Warfare) and a Master of Science in Physics from the Naval Post Graduate School; and Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University.
