George Kurtyka is the VP of Global Business Development in BBVA's New Digital Business organization, responsible for strategic partnerships within banking, fintech, mobile, and payments. Before assuming this role he served as the Head of Business Development at Simple Finance, a personal banking company based in Portland, Oregon that combines technology, user experience, and behavioral economics to help its customers spend smarter and save more. Previously Mr. Kurtyka was the Director of Business Development at PayPal, in charge of global OEM partnerships. Prior to that, he directed entertainment content distribution in the TV, tablet, and mobile categories at Samsung, and was the Global Head of Entertainment Partnerships at Nokia.
