John is Director of Business Development and Marketing for TMC Bonds, which he joined at its inception in July of 2000. His duties include relationship management with buy side accounts, exploring and implementing new business initiatives, working with senior technology staff on product development, and managing the firm’s sales and marketing Prior to joining TMC, he spent over 20 years in various capacities in the municipal bond market.� From 1979 to 1993, he worked at Bankers Trust Co. (later BT Securities) in multiple capacities, including institutional sales, competitive underwriting, secondary trading, as manager of the short-term desk, and finally as manager of the trading desk.In 1993, he joined Merrill Lynch as manager of the Tax-Exempt Money Markets department, where he was responsible for marketing all variable rate product (including derivatives) and for risk management in the front end of the market.� In 1999, he joined the Public Finance Department, where he managed the origination function for all municipal short-term products. John graduated from Princeton University with an AB in History and earned his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
