Margaret (Peggy) Burgess is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Business Banking at Citizens Bank in Providence RI where she is responsible for asset quality and credit performance of the portfolio.Peggy has demonstrated increasingly detailed risk management, credit and leadership experience at several financial services institutions including Citizens Bank, Bank of America and FleetBoston Financial. �An expert in Credit and Operational Risk Management, Peggy has also held leadership roles across both Commercial and Consumer banking businesses.�Peggy joined Citizens in 2005 as the Head of Operational Risk Management responsible for the creation, implementation and oversight of a corporate-wide Operational Risk Management framework.� Prior to that, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Bank of America (formerly Fleet) including the Small Business Risk Solutions Executive for the Consumer & Small Business Risk Solutions team where she was responsible for risk management oversight of the national Business Banking/Small Business portfolio.�A resident of Providence, Peggy is a graduate of Providence College where she earned a B. A. in Accounting and an MBA in Business Administration
