Principal

Pat is a principal at Longfellow Benefits. Pat is responsible for new business development, compliance,  brand awareness, client service, and Longfellow associate management and development.  He provides proactive strategic, financial and compliance advice to self-insured employers, municipalities, and joint purchasing groups.  He also provides client education and awareness on alterntiave funding arrangements, cost saving techniques, contracting, and compliance and regulatory matters.  Internally, Pat serves as the health care reform subject matter expert.\nPat has over twenty years of experience gained from working at Fidelity Investments, Hewitt Associates, and Watson Wyatt Worldwide in various employee benefits consulting capacities.  He earned at BSBA in Accounting and Management from Northeastern University and his MBA in Taxation from Bentley College.  He has attained the professional designations of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), and Registered Health Underwriter (RHU). Pat is also a Licensed Insurance Advisor (LIA).\nPat is a member of several national and local employee benefits organizations and has spoken locally and nationally on employee benefits issues.  He is a past President of the Greater Boston Chapter of ISCEBS, and the current Chairman of the Legislative Committee of NAIFA, and is a member of NEEBC, MASS AHU, IFEBP, ISCEBS and SFSP.  Pat has been published in Benefits Magazine, Employee Benefit News, Workspan, and the Boston Business Journal.\nPat is a past Chairman of the Town of Norwell Advisory Board, a past Member for the Town of Hull Finance Committee, and a past special alternate member for the Town of Norwell Zoning Board of Appeals.\n
