Rick Chisholm

Managing Director, Education & Nonprofit Group

Rick Chisholm joined Wells Fargo Securities in August 2009 and co-heads the firm’s Education & Nonprofit investment banking practice.  He previously served as co-head of the Education & Nonprofit Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.   With over 20 years of experience focused exclusively on raising capital for higher education and nonprofit organizations, Mr. Chisholm has executed more than 400 transactions totaling over $8 billion.In addition to serving a large number of higher education and research institute clients, Rick has also served as lead banker for major cultural institution financings. These include Orange County Performing Arts Center, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Museum of Fine Arts – Boston, Los Angeles Music Center, Colburn School for the Performing Arts, and the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute.  Mr. Chisholm is a frequent speaker to 501(c)(3) organizations on capital markets trends and issues.  Recent venues include The Bond Buyer’s Cultural Forum, CFO/Arts, Boston Consortium of Colleges and Universities, WACUBO, and the Association of Independent Research Institutes.Rick holds an MBA in Finance and a BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley.  He currently serves on the Boards of National University and the YMCA of San Francisco.
