Taylor Macdonald joined Intacct as Vice President, Channel Sales in July 2010 with responsibility for all channel activities. Formerly, he was Vice President, North America Channel Sales at Promethean, one of the leaders in educational classroom technology. Before Promethean he spent one year at Deltek as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales and Alliances where he was responsible for channel revenue, partner programs and recruiting.Prior to joining Deltek Macdonald was Executive Vice President responsible for Channel, Sales Operations, and Business Development in North America for Sage Software. He led Sage Softwares partner programs, field sales channel, partner development initiatives, national partners and business partner recruiting. He joined Sage Softwares Mid-Market Division in February 1998 as vice president, Partner Development. Prior to joining Sage, Macdonald was the founder and president of Macdonald Consulting Group (MCG) in Atlanta, a business software-consulting firm formed in 1990. In 1997, MCG was named Sage Softwares Mid-Market VAR of the Year, as well as Authorized Training Center of the year. From 1992 to 1997 MCG was Sage Softwares top worldwide business partner five of six years, and four years in a row. When the business was sold to other partners in early 1998, MCG had grown to 25 employees and was the largest Sage Software business partner in the world and ranked among the top ten Great Plains partners in the country.Macdonald holds a B.S. degree from Yale University. In June 2005, Taylor was the American Business Awards Sales Executive of the Year, based on his channel advocacy efforts. He was named a Top Channel Executive by VARBusiness magazine, and named to CRN magazines list of Top 50 Channel Champions for the past 3 years. In 2010, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 1998, he was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in the accounting profession by Accounting Today magazine. He was named a Technology Star by Accounting Technology magazine in 1997. Mr. Macdonald is a frequent speaker on VAR industry issues and is a recognized expert on the SME market. Mr. Macdonald serves on the board of directors for the Information Technology Alliance and is a former board member of the Southeastern Software Association, where he served two terms.
